Take Hold of Your Weapon In This Change

What could we all come up with in a single sentence – holding just one single summation in common – describing what so many seem to be experiencing at this time in this world?

As I wake up each day – I experience my own surprising cold blunts in life. Some breathe as the slightest – others - of the most incomprehensible proportions. All lead to mornings here and there – where their grinding toll become apparent. Anger and frustration open one eye.

And then I take my early morning ‘ me time ‘ to go through and read postings from all over the world – updates shared about personal lives – by the moment in some cases. Within my finished allotted time – I see a really heavy blanket toiling away at its damning efforts to smother the best of hearts.

None of us is alone in whatever unique struggles each of us is facing under our very own roofs at this time. Yes. There really IS this ever-bearing and ruthless change that is overcoming us all.

It is as if a dark spirit is very hard at work – to break us down to breathing acceptance of being failures left behind – once that dark spirit passes by along its path to destroying all that is good in the world.

And this is the time when we all need to reach out to one another – to help one another hold on. On the other side of this fire is something that will offer a new spring season. And we will live with the warmth from being able to look behind and see – all that we have fought – overcome – survived – and achieved through our very best weapon handed to us…

The true meaning behind failure – for those that get up each and every morning and face it head-on by putting one foot in front of the other – determined to make sure failure walks out our front door – first.

We just need to remember to not only lend a hand to those in need, but also not be too proud to accept the helping hand offered to us! (A tough lesson I'm learning at the moment :-)

I am so glad that the steroid pack is helping you feel better. You are in my prayers. You are so right when you say that now is the time for all of us to help one another. The Daily Word book published in 1997 states the same thing on the first page: "Today, this very moment is the perfect time to renew my sense of oneness with all humankind." Your butterfly scrapbook page is beautiful and so well illustrates the changes we need to make to affect the change we need in the world. Thank you for sharing with us!

Ohhh, love your scrapbooking page! I've not done one for months...in fact I can't remember the last time I scrapped, so maybe it's been over a year now I don't know. *sigh*

I had to look to get the date off the page to see when I did that one. Back in 2009! LOL Been a while for me, as well, Deb!

Life is just holding all of us for ransom, anymore! Ha!
