Cabin Bling-Bling

What a welcomed day it has been - so far!  As I write - our temps moved from 22* this morning - all the way to 44*.

We woke up to more snow on Wednesday morning and - it was like being hit from behind with a shovel. I am so done with the snow. I don't think I've come across anyone feeling any differently - beyond the ski slopes.

Waking up to this sight - once the sun came out - was a bit of an odd view.

I'm looking toward the west. The storm just came from that direction.

What the heck? Why all the darkness from that side of the country? It never looks this strange - despite knowing daylight hasn't reached the central portion of the country.

At any rate - by yesterday evening it was nice to look out the windows and see a bunch of brown ground all over the place!

With Dwayne being home today - perfect day for installing some new house bling-bling.  Nothing fancy or capable of sucking the life out of our wallets.

In case you haven't done any window shopping for such things - we have retailers around this country that seem to think they're justified in pricing their merchandise for log cabin homes ridiculously high - enough to let it all sit long enough to become hidden under dust.

And I'll survive by leaving it sit there - and letting them file bankruptcy!

But at this point - anything would be a gross improvement!

And so it is…

And from a distance…

I think they’re cute!

I'm glad you lost your snow! :) It's suppose to be in the 40's and 50's for the next week here (almost 60 towards the end of next week if it really happens)!!! I'm so excited!! LOL Hopefully it actually comes to pass...but even a few days will be wonderful. :)

Love your new porch lights...they really look cool! :)

I so wish my snow would go too! I'm glad you're rid of yours though. It makes chores so much easier without it! Great views! I like your new lights. Good job!
